IDES and Harper College hosts a 3 1/2 job search event that offers TWO back-to-back presentations. The two presentations on June 8th will be on how to craft the perfect elevator pitch and an introduction (with examples) of the five different letters that should be in every job seekers portfolio.

This class combines an educational presentation, group discussions and individual exercises. Don’t miss this one!

For this presentation, Lauren has gone directly to the source. She interviewed multiple people who work with ATS systems every day, and will bring that insider information to your group. 50-75% of applicants’ resumes are never even seen by a human, and the reason has nothing to do with skills or qualifications. Find out what trips up applicants the most, and how to avoid those pitfalls. At the end of this presentation you may not be jumping for joy when it comes to ATS, but you will have a much better grasp of how to work with it, and make sure your resume gets in the right hands.

Learn about the resources available to you at College of DuPage and within the broader community. This class is offered at a minimal charge to students age 50 and over only. LinkedIn has gone through a lot of changes since its inception in 2002. People that use LinkedIn on a daily or weekly basis will agree that the purchase of LinkedIn by Microsoft in 2016 has generated the most jarring changes – creating updates and features (and taking away features) that has truly impacted the user experience.
