Case Studies
1) Ms. Park, Senior Operations Executive
Ms. Park required a resume that reflected her executive history in business and organizational development. She is a strong leader with specialized experience in the Sarbanes-Oxley method and Black Belt. She is accustomed to working with budgets of several million dollars and steering revenue on a global level.
When Ms. Park first came to us, she found it difficult to articulate her career goals. We worked with her to assess and identify her core strengths. Ms. Park completed one of ResuMAYDAY’s proprietary exercises that clearly showcased her impressive accomplishments. Using this information, we assessed what it was that she most enjoyed in her career, and planned out how we could leverage those talents in her upcoming job search. Now that we had a much more focused goal in mind, we were ready to commence.
Ms. Park worked with one of our Resume Experts, Lisa, who concentrated on gathering all the necessary information to construct Ms. Park’s new resume. As it is with many clients, Ms. Park had difficulties quantifying all her accomplishments, but with Lisa’s expertise and guidance, more than enough information was gathered within the Resume Consultation. As you will see, Lisa created a professional and strategic resume that effectively presents Ms. Park’s career history in a coherent and fluid manner, without being too lengthy or cluttered.

2) Sherri S., Career Transition Resume
Sherri came to us with a very basic resume, and a despondent mood. She had an accomplished background in sales, but didn’t want to do that anymore. Like many people, her resume focused too much on the tasks and functions of her prior career, which meant that employers wouldn’t see her as being capable in any other role. She knew that she needed a resume that would present her for other positions, using her current skills but didn’t know how to articulate that.
Most resumes tend to ‘paint a candidate into a corner’, which we were careful not to do. We created a resume that clearly positions her for support and administrative positions, which was Sherri’s career goal. With this version, Sherri is able to proudly display her entire catalog of skills, without appearing to be unfocused or trying to be all things to all employers.
