This position is responsible for providing financial support within the Shared Services Business Management organization. Under general supervision, responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely financial information for the Acxiom to IBM Data Center migration. Primary focus will be on controllership activities such as forecasting, planning, reporting and analysis of data center hosting expenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Consolidate all aspects of forecasts, budgets and actual financials with analysis of results.
2) Track new service hosting amendments and reconcile monthly invoices against the amendments.
3) Prepare general month-end close journal entries.
4) Perform account analysis for budgeting purposes. Reviewing trends of balance sheet accounts to better forecast and budget these items.
5) Performs special projects with heavy financial analysis and provides recommendations.
Qualifications:
Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong working knowledge of PC applications Excel & Access.
General understanding of IT environment.
Good analytical skills and familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
Technical and financial knowledge including, internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction from manager
Experience working with an outsourced service provider, while not required, would be a benefit.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 3+ years of relevant experience with financial analysis and reporting.

6) Liaison Program Specialist
Provide technical advice, assistance, consultation and guidance to State, and local public health agencies and healthcare entities regarding the development and improvement of hospital and healthcare preparedness. Act as liaison between Healthcare Systems
Preparedness Programs (HSP) Headquarters Project Officers and HSP grant awardees as needed to resolve complex issues between the state and healthcare entities.
Provide technical assistance to assist awardees with meeting program performance measures. Assist grant awardees in developing corrective action plans to improve grant awardees advancement of enhancing community and hospital preparedness for public health emergencies. Assist grant awardees in understanding and implementing performance measures related to the HSP grant program.
Represent the HSP program at various regional meetings regarding issues related to hospital and healthcare preparedness. Ensure agency views and interests are promoted and considered in performance measure development and implementation at the State and
local levels.
Work in partnership with HSP Headquarters Project Officer and with Program and Evaluation staff members to ensure the timely and effective development and implementation of all activities associated with the awardees as detailed in the awardees
application. Organize and facilitate as appropriate project meetings and consultation between awardees and healthcare entities within the region.
Examine and provide interpretation of healthcare systems preparedness information to assist in the preparation of proposals and recommendations, as well as, the development of documentation, reports, presentations and other resources.
Prepare along with HSP Headquarters Project Officer various presentations, policies and procedures, reports, and correspondence including status reports regarding the progress of hospital preparedness and response for management as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GS-09:
You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience may have been gained in work performing administrative/ operational aspects of grants and/or cooperative agreements.
