Dear Friends,

Please help me welcome our newest resume expert, Katie Geoffrion! She comes with extensive experience as a resume writer and a ton of enthusiasm – which means she fits in well. Her expertise is writing technical, marketing, administrative and executive resumes. Welcome aboard, Katie!

Last December, I was a guest on Monique Caradine’s television show, Perspective. Monique’s show provides news and current events in and around Chicago. I thought I looked and sounded horribly nervous, but I guess I did something right – she invited me back! The show airs this Sunday (09/13/09) at noon on the CW network. I’m sharing a few resume secrets, as well as a few companies throughout Chicago that are currently hiring. The other 2 guests, Charlotte Weeks and Mark Dyson are wonderful and informative as well – it’s going to be a great show.

Have you signed up on ResuMAYDAY’s Facebook page? This has become my ‘clearing house’ for all things related to job searches and career advancement. For example, I was just quoted in an article about applying for jobs online that appeared on ABCnews.com. I’m also posting job leads and tons of other interesting and topical items of interest. Wanna be part of the cool crowd? Sign-up!

Lastly, the radio show is hitting a really great stride and I’m very pleased to say that our new co-host, Jeff Bishop, is fitting in quite nicely. He is a marketing expert, which means I’m riveted to everything he discusses. Lots of good conversations are taking place every week. If you have any questions or topics you’d like us to tackle (business ownership, marketing or career advancement), send your questions to LTD@MyDreamBiz.net. Listen live on Tuesday at noon, or download the archives at your convenience.

We hope you’re enjoying the last few days of summer. Of course, those of us here in Chicago feel like we’re already knee-deep in Autumn. Mother Nature loves to keep us guessing!

We wish you the best success in your career!
