When creating business cards yourself, include your name and contact information, along with your specific industry or position. If you have room, include something else that would set you apart from others in your industry. That could be a really stellar testimonial (1 or 2 sentences) from an employer or client, or a favorite quote of yours that sums up your work ethic. It could even be an interesting graphic, if you’ve created your own logo. If your card already stands out as spectacular, then you don’t have to rely on the recipient to take notes on it to remember you. (By the way, most people don’t make notes on business cards – you can’t count on that to happen.)
